1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to ALEcon.LK, the official online learning platform for Advanced Level Economics conducted by Channa Migara. By registering an account, purchasing course subscriptions, accessing standalone video packs, or participating in online MCQ assessments, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register, make payments, and access our services.
2. Student Account & Single-Device Policy
To protect platform integrity and student records, strict account governance applies:
Strict Single-User Policy: Each account is strictly for one student's individual study. Account sharing, credential distribution, or group viewing is strictly prohibited.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and password.
- Our platform monitors session tokens and device activity. Simultaneous multi-location or multi-device logins will result in automated session termination and potential account freeze.
- You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information regarding your identity, batch year, and shipping address.
3. Course Enrollments, Payments & Access
ALEcon.LK offers monthly academic classes (Theory, Revision, Paper Class) and on-demand standalone video packs:
- Monthly Class Validity: Access to monthly course lessons, recordings, and materials remains active for the specific academic month or curriculum timeframe designated by the instructor.
- Fee Payments: Payments can be completed online via OnePay (Credit/Debit Cards, Mobile Wallets, LankaQR) or via offline bank slip upload.
- Bank Slip Verification: Offline bank slip submissions require administrative review (typically within 12–24 working hours) before course access is unlocked.
- Currency: All stated class fees and tutorial delivery charges are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) inclusive of applicable taxes.
4. Intellectual Property & Copyright Protection
All educational materials provided on ALEcon.LK are the exclusive intellectual property of Channa Migara and ALEcon.LK:
Legal Warning: All video lectures, audio recordings, graphic diagrams, written notes, downloadable PDFs, MCQ papers, and model answers are protected under the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003 of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
- Strict Prohibition: Screen recording, capturing, downloading, reproducing, re-uploading to YouTube/Telegram/Facebook/TikTok, sharing, broadcasting, selling, or redistributing any content is strictly unlawful.
- Violators will face immediate permanent account termination without refund, and ALEcon.LK reserves the right to initiate civil damages claims and criminal proceedings under Sri Lankan copyright and cybercrime legislation.
5. Online MCQ Examination Regulations
When participating in timed assessments and Live Free MCQ exams:
- Each assessment is governed by an automated countdown timer. Once the timer expires, submitted answers are recorded automatically.
- Students must maintain academic honesty. Using unauthorized answer keys or exploiting system loopholes will invalidate your examination scores.
- Leaderboards, marks breakdowns, and rankings are calculated automatically and displayed on the student portal.
6. Tutorial Shipping & Delivery
For courses that include physical tutorial booklets:
- Students must ensure their delivery address and active phone number are accurate at checkout.
- Tutorials are dispatched through reputable third-party courier and postal services. Delivery timelines typically range from 2 to 5 business days depending on district.
- Package dispatch updates and tracking status are visible under the student dashboard's order section.
7. Prohibited Student Conduct
Students accessing the platform agree NOT to:
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, stream protections, or digital security controls.
- Interfere with server infrastructure, launch denial-of-service (DoS) attempts, or inject malicious code.
- Post defamatory, abusive, or inappropriate remarks in class question portals or inquiries.
- Use automated scrapers, bots, or data extraction scripts on the website.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
ALEcon.LK reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate student access immediately and without prior notice in instances of:
- Breach of copyright or content redistribution.
- Submission of counterfeit or forged payment bank slips.
- Persistent multi-device unauthorized sharing.
Suspensions resulting from policy violations are not eligible for any refund or fee reimbursement.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Sri Lanka.
